ABOUT OUR CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Engr. Peter O. Ewesor FNSE, FNIPE, FOSHA, FISPN is a Seasoned Practicing COREN registered Electrical Engineer and Electrical safety Inspector with over three (3) decades of vast experience and expertise in Electricity Power Supply Industry (EPSI), Oil and Gas Industry.

He is a certified and accredited CMD Trainer with vast experience in Electrical Power Systems and Electrical Installations, Alternative Energy Resources Systems, Technical Audit, Technical Inspection and Testing and Certifications of Electrical Power Systems, Networks in (EPSI) and Electrical installations in High Rise building/factories, facilities premises and Public Service Administration.

Pioneer Managing Director/CEO of Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) 2013 -2021 backed by Law – NEMSA ACT -2015 for the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) and Nigeria at large.

Pioneer Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation (CEIF) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2015–2021 responsible for the Enforcement of Technical Standards and Regulations, Statutory, Technical Inspection, Testing and Certification of all categories of Electrical Power Systems and Electrical installation up to and including 330kV Systems, Electricity Metering Services,  Renewable Energy – Solar Powered Street Lights (SPSL), Solar Home Systems (SHS), Solar Mini – Grid (SMG) installations  and also ensuring safety in the Power, Oil and Gas Industries, other workplaces and premises in Nigeria.

He was the Deputy Director & Head of Electrical Inspectorate Services Division of the Electrical Inspectorate Services Department of the Federal Ministry of Power between 2009 and 2013 responsible for the Enforcement of technical and safety standards, statutory inspection, Test and Certification of all categories Electrical Installations and Power Systems in the Nigerian Power Industry and Nigeria at large. 

He is a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers (FNISE), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (FOSHA), Nigerian Institute of Power Engineers (FNIPE), Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (FISPN) and corporate member of other professional bodies.

He is a recipient of the Presidential Civil Service Merit Award of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the year 2012.

Has vast knowledge and experience of over three (3) decades in the crafting, development and implementation of Electricity Laws and Regulations, Electrical Technical Standards and Specifications, Electrical Safety Standards including Quality Management System (QMS) strategies in the power, Oil and Gas industries.

Also, he has vast knowledge and experience of over three (3) decades in inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations and power systems of Shell Petroleum Development Company, Chevron, TEXACO overseas, Adas, ELF etc production facilities, technical standards and specifications, technical safety practices in the downstream petrol and filling stations facilities.   

He has served in several Governing Boards and Technical Committees which include member of the Transition Supervisory Board of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), 2013; Chairman, Presidential Taskforce on Gombe – Yola -Jalingo 330kV Transmission line and associated 2x150MVA 330/33kV and 2x60MVA 132/33kV Transmitting Stations 2008/2010; Vice Chairman and member of Distribution Code Expert Panel for NESI by Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission (NERC);  Member Health and Safety Review and codification C’ttees for NESI by NERC 2007-2009 ; Member, Transition Electricity Market Steering Group by NERC 2011; National Focal Point Person (NFPP) for Nigeria at the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) 2009 – 2013; etc.

He has served as External Examiner in Electrical Engineering, Power systems and Electrical Installation courses to tertiary institutions and National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) and also, Associate lecturer, University of Benin in Nigeria.

Authorship: Has published two (2) Electrical Engineering text books. i. Practical Electrical Systems Installation: Works and Practice 2003, 2010 and 2021; ii. Electrical System Installation: Practice and Maintenance, 2006 and he has delivered several papers on Electrical Power Systems, Electrical Installations, Electrical Safety, Enforcement of Regulations and Technical Standards, etc at various seminars, training workshops, conferences, high level retreats etc. within and outside Nigeria.

Has carried out technical inspections, testing and certification of several Turkey Electrical Power Installation Projects within and outside Nigeria which include but not limited to Electrical Installation of Shell Petroleum 650MW Afam VI, Power Plant Azura Benin 450MW Opai Power Plant, NEPA/PHCN/TCN 330 & 132kV Power lines with associated 330/132/33kV transmitting stations, Shell Petroleum Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Vessel (EA) in Singapore – 2002, Electrical installations of Shell Petroleum Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Vessel (Bonga) in Newcastle- upon-Tyne, Uk -2003/2005.
